Marco X. Peña is an associate attorney at Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez, LLP. He is dedicated to representing and working closely with clients in the areas of Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning, Property Owners’ Associations, Banking and Financial Services, Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights, Guardianships, Probate, and Real Estate Law. Prior to joining the firm, Marco served as a Law Clerk at Ellis, Koeneke & Ramirez, LLP in McAllen, where he drafted briefs, pleadings, discovery requests, and motions and assisted with estate planning matters.
A native of Edinburg, Texas, Marco has deep roots in the Rio Grande Valley as a fourth-generation farmer and cattle rancher. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 2022. While at Texas A&M, Marco was a recipient of the Agricultural Economics Department Scholarship and the Distinguished Student Award. Prior to law school, he served as a Student Trainee Loan Specialist with the USDA Farm Service Agency, where he assisted loan officers in processing agricultural loan applications and FSA programs. This experience directly complements his practice in Banking and Financial Services and Real Estate Law. He subsequently received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law in 2025. During law school, Marco was consistently named to the Dean’s List, was a member of the Baylor Barrister Society, and was recognized as a Top 10 Speaker in the Dawson & Sodd Moot Court Competition.
Marco is deeply committed to his local community and enjoys supporting the agricultural youth of the Rio Grande Valley as an active member of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo Breeding Cattle Committee. Outside of the office, his hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, and raising registered Beefmaster cattle on his family’s ranch.
