MIKE MILLS has made the Atlas & Hall law firm his professional home since 1976 and has been a partner since 1982. He is an experienced litigator and has represented corporations, insurance companies and individuals in civil litigation involving a variety of legal issues, such as personal injury, toxic tort, deceptive trade, product liability and malpractice.

He graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin in 1973 and that year was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the University of Texas in 1976, and the same year was admitted to the Phi Delta Phi honorary legal fraternity.

Among his legal activities are: Fellow, Texas Bar Foundation; Member, State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association; American Board of Trial Advocates; Member, District 15-B Grievance Committee, 1989-1995, Vice Chair, 1994-1995; Chairman, Hidalgo County Bar Association Pro Bono Project, 1988-1995; Director, Hidalgo County Bar Association, 1988-1990; President, Hidalgo County Bar Association, 1990-1991; Director, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, 1994-1996; Director, The University of Texas Law Alumni Association, 1992-1995; Executive Committee, the University of Texas Law Alumni Association, 1995-2000. Currently, Mike serves on the Political Action Committee of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and on the Texas Rio Grande Valley Legal Aid Advisory Council.

Mike was named a Texas Super Lawyer for 2005 & 2006, Law & Politics/Texas Monthly magazines.

He was born and raised in South Texas and is married to Kathy Kirkpatrick Mills with three sons, Greg, Luke, and Nate. Mike is an ardent scuba-diver, amateur astronomer, and follower of college and professional sports.
