LISA POWELL specializes in appellate law and has successfully argued cases in various Texas Courts of Appeal, the Texas Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit.  She has authored numerous papers and has been a speaker at various institutes regarding a variety of subjects.

Lisa received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Baylor University in 1979, and her J.D. with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 1982 (Order of the Coif; Associate Editor, Texas Law Review, 1982).
